The Charles  Schulz Philosophy

(This is marvelous!! Scroll thru slowly and read carefully to receive and enjoy full
effect)

The  following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the  creator of the ‘Peanutscomic strip. You don’t have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them.

Just read the e-mail straight through, and you’ll get the point.

1. Name  the five wealthiest people in the  world.

2. Name  the last five Heisman trophy winners.

3. Name  the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.

4  Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.

5. Name  the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress! s.

6. Name  the last decade’s worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday. These are no second-rate achievers. They are the best in their fields. But the applause dies.. Awards tarnish.. Achievements are forgotten. Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here’s another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.

2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.

3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.

4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special.

5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.  Easier?

The lesson:

The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials, the most money…or the most awards. They simply are the
ones who care the most. Pass this on to those people who have either made a difference in your life, or whom you keep close in your heart, like I did. ‘Don’t worry about the world coming to an end today. It’s already tomorrow in Australia !’ ”Be Yourself. Everyone Else Is Taken!”

So what tech could you live without. Could it be a cell phone, iPad, Computer, television, MP3 Player or something else. Think even bigger maybe transportation like high-speed trains or airplanes. What about the electrical power grid. So what is Tech?

Many of my friends ride motorcycles and call themselves bikers. I wonder why they chose to ride a motorcycle and why they picked the brand they did. So what do you ride and why? Are you a motorcyclist or a biker? You can leave your comments at Shaman’s Wandering on WordPress or on Facebook. I will be waiting!

If stranded on a desert island, and could only bring one music album with you, which would it be? What is it about this music that never gets old for you?

Just Thinking!

My mind has been everywhere today just wondering all over the place. Do you have days like that. Concentration what is that? I don’t have any today. Staying focussed is really hard. So maybe it’s the weather, or maybe it’s all I need to get done with the Veterans Task Force of NW Florida. Proposed budget, elections on new officers and board members and it goes on and on. One thing at a time I keep telling myself so I worked on what I felt like, ordered a few things, sent some e-mails out to board members. Found someone to attend a homeless veterans conference, reminded my friend to see if we could get a free piece of black marble for a Vietnam Veterans Memorial. So here am rabbling along. Got to get back to work and complete something. Do you ever have day like this?

Portrait of Thomas Jefferson by Rembrandt Peal...

A Great American and things he said that very much apply to today’s problems!

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.

The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.

Thomas Jefferson
said in 1802:

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies.  If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property – until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.
